Chocolate Covered Pretzels

Chocolate Covered Pretzels

You will need:
A Double Boiler or two pots that fit the right way (see below)
Chocolate/white chocolate chips/almond bark
Halloween style sprinkles (green, orange, purple and black colored sugar works well too)
A dipping fork or a long fork-like thing (yeah helpful I know..)
Wax paper
Water

These are relatively easy if you have double boiler and patience. I have neither. So we I did was I took a medium pot and filled it ¼ full of water. Then I took a smaller pot of the same kind and placed it in the other pot so it was barely touching the water.  Then I had my own, homemade, double boiler. (And it was orange, of course my pots are orange…) Anyway, then I took the chocolate chips and melted them on low in the pot, stirring frequently. I don’t have a dipper so I used a grilling fork to lower in a pretzel and coat it in the melted chocolate. Then I put it on a sheet of wax paper and QUICKLY put Halloween Sprinkles on it. You have to do this BEFORE the chocolate cools and dries or it won’t stick.  You also need to stir a lot during the whole thing. Then I did it again and again and again until it was time for the White chocolate. You have to completely clean out the other chocolate before doing the next kind or you get weird looking swirls. I recommend using hot water. I used White Almond bark for the white chocolate and did the same thing as the regular chocolate. It helps to have a friend that can do the sprinkles while you stir and dip, or vice-versa.  You may need to add more water as you go. Once they are dry, you can place them in a zip lock bag until you are ready to serve. I recommend making them within a few days of the party or the chocolate starts to get.. icky.
